South by Southwest Interactive was a major hit this year, kicking off the announcement of the KE Architectural Element in association with the Adaptable Gro Home 2 which was specifically designed for the returning disabled veteran. The KE Module group in partnership with the School of Invention, Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems, Green Cold Formed Steel (GCFS), Austin Community College Northridge, and GSDM unveiled the Adaptable Gro Home 2 design along an active 6th Street location. This unique steel panelized structural system, with a single KE as the core utility delivery housing and the only interior partition(s), was erected in two days and on public exhibit from March 16-20. It was disassembled and relocated to the CMPBS where it awaits it’s new foundation and home for an undisclosed time. It will be available to tour again once completed.
